For the first time in Vietnam, a technological solution to enhance oil recovery factor has been implemented in a systematic and scientific manner, in line with the global roadmap for researching and applying advanced technologies. This initiative integrates Vietnam’s oil and gas exploration and production expertise with modern simulation technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning algorithms to develop the VPI SP chemical system—a highly intellectual and valuable product.

At 7:09 a.m. on July 14, 2025, the Kinh Ngu Trang – Kinh Ngu Trang Nam (KNT-KTN) field development project successfully opened four wells on the WHP-KTN platform to receive the first oil flow (First Oil). Later, at 10:34 a.m. the same day, the CPP-KNT platform received the incoming crude, which is subsequently transported to the MSP-10 platform for processing via a 38-kilometer subsea pipeline.
For the full year, output is forecast to reach 6.15 billion kWh, meeting the assigned target, with revenue estimated at VNĐ12.3 trillion, or 98 per cent of the plan.
