Powering Asia’s Next Decade: A Dialogue With Le Manh Cuong
Energy comes up again and again in today's programme: in the power behind AI and data centres, the trade corridors that link the region, the cities Southeast Asia is building, and the food systems it depends on. This session puts energy at the centre of the conversation. Demand keeps rising, and this year's disruption in the Middle East showed how much energy security matters. Asia has to make its energy reliable, affordable and cleaner, all at the same time. Le Manh Cuong is President and CEO of Petrovietnam, the largest Vietnamese company on the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 and No. 11 in the region.
As the industry turns 65, he is turning Petrovietnam from an oil and gas company into an integrated industry and energy group spanning LNG, offshore wind and nuclear power. He will share lessons from Petrovietnam’s response to recent supply disruptions, discuss Vietnam’s growing energy needs, and explore how investment and partnerships can support Petrovietnam’s next stage of growth.
